Hello guys,
as I mentioned in another thread about my other projector, yesterday I scored a great S810D HQS at the local market. It was a great bargain, since I got it for less than what the lens are worth.

The projector had some obvious problems with broken plastics, but other than that seemed in nice condition. I came home to test it and surprise, even the lamp was working.

It is quite clean on the inside, includes both set of gates for normal and super 8, and a nice 1,2 lens.

Here are a couple of photos from the inside of the projector (both faceplates removed)

I tested it with a film and it was working fine.
However I have spotted three little problems:

1) The plastic part of the bracket that holds the reel tight in place is broken on both brackets. For the front bracket I managed to overcome the problem by placing an adaptor for normal 8, however this way I think I will not be able to use any normal 8 reels. At the back the problem is bigger.
I figure that the whole bracket must be really hard to replace. So Is there any way to change this part or do I have to come up with some sort of pattern? Any ideas?

2) If I am correct I miss the set of sprocket wheels for the normal 8 film. Here is a photo of the set I have. This is for super 8 correct? Any chance I can find a set for normal?

3) I think the projector is missing the little rollers that are in the small compartment just before the exit of the film from the projector. Am I correct on this? Any chance I can get replacements from somewhere?

Anyone notices any other problems?
I looked a bit in the forum but found only so many threads, anyone has a link to a thread or site with instruction on how to take care, lube and clean correctly a projector?

for once more thanks in advance

1) For the backside reel holder you have to do some diy fixing - I would suggest wood and some very small screws.
2) You'd just have to look out for those parts. They come up from time to time as projectors brake down and parts are sold.
3) The little rollers in the compartment tend to get lost when the compartment is opened with the projector standing; it should rather lie on its backside when the cover is taken off. If have come across a few 800 series Eumig projectors and never all rollers would be there. It is then a case of two projectors make one working one. If you operate the projector without ALL the rollers you will surely scratch your film.
