hi everyone, i need help with my bolex m8 projector which was behaving very well some months ago. now after a period of being out of use, a few months,i tried starting it again. everything works fine except the Take up spool spindle is not spinning.

It takes a few spins and then stops. i've put machin oil into the lube holes but no luck.

any advice ?

The take up spool is direct drive with the motor. If other parts are turning then I would think that something is broke or loose on that direct drive path. I have not taken mine apart to see how that direct drive works. With a better description of the problem like what is running and what is not may help others on this forum help you diagnose the problem better. There are people on this forum that have an amazing knowledge of projectors.

Thanks Bryan. Everything else is working perfectly fine.
The take up spool spindle takes a few jerky spins and then stops.
