I am very curious, can someone explain how are super 8 copies created from a 35mm or 70mm film print. What kind of machines and techniques are used?

In simple terms it is almost like projecting the film only instead of making the picture big, you make it small so it will fit on a smaller gauge of film.. The machine would be called an Optical printer...
