It appears that repairs are easier to obtain for 8mm projectors in Europe than in the U.S.A. Comments? Does Leon Norris still service Elmo? Anyone in the U.S.A. repair other brands like Eumig? Sometimes one needs a experienced repairman if its not an easy fix. There should be a list of those that service 8mm projectors...

Joe,

Leon is still very much in business. He repaired my GS-1200 Xenon a few months ago. His phone number in Pennsylvania is 610-275-1225.
The only other projector repair service on the East Coast I know of is Du-All Camera in New York.

Irv Higdon's IJM Incorporated is on the West Coast.

Doug

Don't forget Forum member/projector repairman Richard Patchett. He's located in Royal Oak, Michigan. You can contact him through this Forum and let him know what you have. By the way Joe, what types of projector(s) do you have?

In Super 8mm all I have at present is a Elmo ST-1200HD which needs repair. I bought it new years ago. The last time I used it it slowed down then just seized up (froze). It had been sitting idle for a long time which probably didn't help. Its time for it to be overhauled as well as repaired. I have 16mm projectors and some are for parts. But I don't feel comfortable working on my Elmo. I also have a Super 8mm Goko Sound Editor that needs a minor repair. I believe Irv Higdon can handle it; I seem to remember reading somewhere that he services them. I have to look into it. I never filmed any Super 8mm sound movies; I bought the Elmo for watching sound prints. Now that Kodak no longer sells sound film cartridges I wish I had!
