Hello folks,
it's time for my usual problems again....
the eumig (for those that remember my problems) still has problems and film is flickering all the time.

Now, i've got his sankyo 702sound, which also has a problem....
below there is a video of the problem, but let me explain first.

As you'll see the problem is on the first sprocket. The film hits the black plastic under the sprocket, which moves a makes an annoying ticking sound. Moreover, i'm afraid it's going to scratch films....
From what I can see, either the black plastic has loosen and moves more than it should, hence the sound. Or the white plastic (which connects to the yellow push button) is loosen and is going further down that it should, pushing the film harder onto the black plastic.
Either way, the sound stops when I hold the black plastic and all seems ok then.
Is it safe to put some paper or other material to hold the black plastic, or the problems stems from elsewhere??

Hi.
Assuming both sprocket wheel and film are OK (BTW, have you inspected the sprocket wheel's teeth?), I would assume there is something that causes the black plstic film guide to move. It might be something on the back of the wheel, revolving by means of its shaft's rotation. I don't remember exactly what there is in that department, but if I were you, I'd remove the whole assembly. If you have a little patience, I can send you a scan of how to disassemble it.
Dos the problem affect image steadiness?

thanks for your reply.

So to answer your questions:
I've checked both sprocket wheels and all teeth seem to be ok, ie no bends or other visible damage.
The picture is still from what I could figure out (i've only watched a couple of small reels but didn't notice and unsteadiness).

Although i'll try tomorrow to get hold of the only technician I know in Greece, If you can give me any instructions i'll be happy to try and fix it myself....
