Hi,

Fuji has stopped shipping their Single8-films to somewhere outside of Japan in approx. 1995. AFAIK only retro8.com (in Japan) is still shipping Single8-Films to the USA - both the original Fuji-Single8-films and some other films filled into Single8-carts. There are also some European sources (FFR, Wittner, Jovanovic, super8.nl, ...). But using them would be more expensive from the USA than getting the same products from retro8.

P.S.: When you google a little more, you'll stumble across "Single8film.com" in Los Angeles. Unfortunately the company closed in 2009 (no clue why their webpage is still on-line).

Whatever you do...do not send anything to Single8film.com.
The owner Kent Bulza took 4 of my films to process. After getting the runaround for almost a year I complained to the Better Business Bureau and he refunded my money for 3 of them...and said the other one was lost.
Story has it that he sent it to get processed and never paid the company so they held the films hostage. My films and memories were in that bunch. Now gone. Can you tell I still am very upset about it? [Mad]

Yes, I too sent a film to Kent Bulza for processing...I'm still waiting for the results TWO YEARS later. I was thinking about starting to film in Single 8 (alongside my Super 8 filming) but this experience totally put me off. Thank you Kent Bulza for being the most unprofessional dealer to exist on this earth, apart from one other individual who often messes people around on here. I think we should start a name & shame section for such people.

I have a quantity of frozen since new Single-8 filmstock in the freezer here for sale. Also my lab PPS processes Single-8 film as well. You're right, very little support for Single-8 in North America, but it was never that huge since Super 8mm had the main market share. Email me directly for information if interested. Films expired back in the 1980s but I run a test roll every 6 to 12 months and they still look great.
