Greeting from Phoenix, Arizona!
I just purchased an Elmo ST-800 sound projector. It's in mint condition and appears to be brand new still in the box. When I turn the lamp on the light is so dim that you can't see anything. The book calls for a 12V-100W Halogen lamp with cold mirror EFP. Does this particular lamp loose it's brightness after many hours of use or is the projector at fault? I read on a forum somewhere that the lamp has a lug on the rim and you need that lug to lock the lamp in place? The ones I have seen on the internet do not appear to have this lug on the rim at all?
Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Roger

Hi Roger,

Welcome to the Forum, I have a manual for the ST600 that I can email to you.

There are similarities between both projectors, the lamp housing may be one of them. Perhaps that will help. Enjoy your projector!

Roger, a good bet is that the lamp connector is corroded. Try removing the lamp and reinserting a few times to see if the brightness improves.
