I want to project Super Duper 8 (Max-8) and I'm looking for suggestions as to what projector may be best suited. I appreciate that the concept to expand the conventional Super 8 gate is intended for scanning, not projection and that scratching is an issue. I expect a suitable machine may be a silent projector or a projector that can retract the sound mechanism during projection or a sound projector that has had the sound head removed.
EDIT: I should have mentioned my intention is to modify the projector's gate.

To provide sync audio during projection I intend to use this method:
