Make sure your speed selector is on 24fps, or it could be a loose belt.

[Big Grin] The girl wizards from sleeping beauty come out sounding more like morgan freeman

Somehow I don't think Morgan would be too chuffed at the
comparison.Hugo has left photos of 7th Voyage on your Sinbad
thread.Regarding your problem, make sure the film is threading
up correctly to the take up spool.if you can remove the side cover to see that the pressure plates are closing correctly on the sound
assembly.is the rubber roller closing against the sound drum as
it is supposed to.Try running the film without connecting to a take up spool and let it discharge into a cardboard box,in case the take up is dragging the film through. If your machine has
passed these criteria, then remove the screws to the cover and
investigate. The problem could be as Joe says a slack belt or it
could be grease or oil on a pulley or rubber belt, which can be removed with a drop of methylated spirit.ON NO ACCOUNT
PLAY INSIDE WITHOUT REMOVING POWER CABLE.
Meanwhile back at the ranch,Hugo's waiting.

Well my little friend, any joy? It seems to me that the rubber pinch roller that meets up with your capstan maybe isn't just closing
tight enough.Or there could be an obstruction with the fly wheel
inside the projector. Are there any wires catching the wheel inside?
Try running the machine without film and check the film path
just to check that everything closes as it should.

Have you got any Q tips, cotton buds, try a little meths or any
alcohol on the end and just give the heads and rollers, especially
the rubber pinch roller a good wipe to make sure that there isn't
any grease on them.If you've checked the points I've suggested
then I can't see why the projector shouldn't function normally.
Make sure that the capstan is grease free.

I don't know your BH, but some projectors are set only for 18fps.

Regarding the bulb, if it has EFP type (or EFR) you can buy the replacement for $5-8 from "Divine Lamp". But if it is Robot type or DJL, better you invest in a new projector because it can cost almost $45 only for the bulb while it is last for very short time.

Hi Austin, before you rush out and buy another projector, did you
do the checks I asked,as it seems odd that you have bad sound
like that, which makes me believe that theres something not
closing up correctly in the film path.Make sure that the rubber
roller touches the silver one (that's the capstan) as if these two
aren't touching when closed, that is where the problem lies.

The belt could be loose and slipping. If your going to invest money in films, then my advise is to buy a better projector. Elmo comes to mind...
