A while back I posted this unidentified short.
I refer to it as, "Captain Umpteblojowski," because it is the name of the featured character.

No one has yet to name the film, including the Library of Congress Film Division. However,
I received a reply from Carl Bennet of Silent Era & now we know the little girl's name is...Virginia Davis, who earlier had appeared as Alice in the Walt Disney series of cartoons with live action inserts. See Virginia in this film:

Virginia is older in this film of yours than she was in the Disney films, which might date it to circa 1926-1927. This appears to be a previously unidentified film for her filmography, which means that it will not be easy to identify.
