Hey all...
My Elmo ST-1200 had been running like a champ for quite awhile until just recently. I pulled it out to project after a few months of not using it and after about 10 minutes of running, it began to have a squealing sound (possibly from the motor??). Soon after that the projector slowed down and then came to a complete stop, thus burning a frame on my film. I tried starting it up again right afterwards but it was completely seized up. I tried using it again about an hour later and it seemed to work again but the same thing happened where it came to a stop. Anyone have any experience with this problem? any ideas? let me know. thanks!!

Adam, First of all...remove the back and check the belts. Also, try moving the speed control to 18fps and back to 24 a few times to see if that helps. That assembly may need re-adjustment.

After checking the belts a little bit of lubrication never comes
amiss, make sure it is a light oil used. Also have a look at the fan.
