Does anyone know if the boards for the Still, rev, off, fwd are interchangeable on the different models of the GS? I just got a Version 3 but the OFF button won't move at all, so I removed the board with the 4 switches from one of my Version 1 models today at work and was going to replace it on the vers. 3 at home, but if someone knows this will not in fact work, I won't bother bringing it home...

Since no one jumped in to help, I just did it myself, and I am pleased to announce that the boards are the same...The weird thing is even with the board out I still cannot figure out why the "off" switch simply won't budge...

Dino,
There is a little coil spring under each of the four operational switches. It sounds like the spring is jammed up in some way on the underside of the switch, or the microswitch itself might be jammed. If you remove the little circlip on the pivot bar you can slide the bar out and relign the spring. You can also replace the micro switch with an equivalent from Radio Shack, if necessary.

Went back to the stuck switch this morning and it turned out to be the #10 as it was lodged in the black plastic part..I worked it loose and the switch works fine..so I am going to re-install it on the other machine.
