Hello everyone. I am searching for a lens to replace my current one. I'm running a Chinon 7000 and the lens appears to be the original.

My question is are there "Universal Lenses"? Or do I specifically need another Chinon? Either way can someone tell me where to look?

Chad, It wouldn't hurt to post a want ad for the lens in the equipment section here on the forum. Give the details from your old lens and upload a picture of it if possible. What's the problem with the lens that's in it now?

It's a bit blurry. I can see some clouding around the very edges of the lens and the focus is tough to keep. Picture looks a bit soft.

I had a similar incident with a cruddy B&H I had a few years ago and a new lens made a world of difference.

I will take your advice and put up a want ad. Thanks!!
