Anyone know if the internal parts are interchangable? Specfically the motor and shutter blade assembly.
I bought the Whisper for external parts, but it seems that the Chinon actually projects better than the 10MS, and the framing works on it. There is, however, a strange noise when you speed the motor up, somewhat akin to the sound your car makes as it continues to run after the key is turned off! Not as loud, obviously, but sounds like a bearing or something. I figure if the parts are interchangable, I will take the assemblies from the B&H and swap them into the Chinon.
Thanks,
John

Take the covers off both and have a peek! [Eek!]

Both were made by Haking. But Pat is right, take them apart and check them out.

Pat and Barry,
Thanks for the responses. I've looked and they appear similar, but I'm wondering about motor speed and blade sizing, as well as rheostat compatibility. I'd hate to swap in a part and blow up the best unit. [Eek!]
