Hello,

Yesterday I have received a Erno RE-904, but when testing I found out that the film blocked. Today I screwed the Erno open where I found the problem, a broken clockwheel as can be seen in the picture below:

My question is, can I repair this with super glue or is there an easy way to find a replacement?

I have the same problem, it's a factory default of these editors, even of the equivalent Goko RM-8008.
Does anyone know how to solve it? Do you have or know where I can find a replacement?

Thank you. [Smile]

Hi Luigi

Why not contact Edwin van Eck to discuss making this part for you.
I am sure he could print this out with his amazing 3d printing technology.
Here is his internet site address. www.van-eck.net

Thanks Frank, I've already tried to contact Edwin a few days ago. He still does't answer me, probably busy time.
I had just shown this thread to him, hopefully we can fix it!

I went to a 3d print shop in my town.
He told me that the sprocket is too small for the technology that he have. [Frown]

Hi, sorry for the late reply. It is quite busy know. Today whole day filming with super8 film our our premises (promo film), see:
https://www.facebook.com/vaneckvideo/

I will look into this soon. Looking at the picture, it might be a bit small for 3D printing, but progress in accuracy in 3D-printing is going fast now. Let you know soon!

Yes, Edwin, so you can be busy, don't worry.
In the meantime I resolved, "unfortunately" by buying another this model of Erno in spare parts state (30 euro [Smile] ), from which I took the whole optical group.

But we keep in mind that piece, with the advancement of tehcnology of 3D printers: it's broken into 70% of the Erno/Goko of that existing model, it was a real factory defect. Hopefully, it does not happen to my new optical group too!
Thank you! [Smile]
