Hi,
I just got a sankyo dualux 1000 and need the belt size if anyone has it - I might be able to find an o ring to fit locally. Also since the belt is not on should this affect either spindle not turning as both don't. AND the lamp looks good - no burn marks and I couldn't see any broken filament either. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a bunch,
John

Try 2-5/8" O.D. 1/8" width

Without the main motor belt neither the take-up nor the supply reel will turn.

Here's my video on how to install the new belt.

I don't believe the lamp will project until you have film passing through the gate and caught by the take-up reel.

Thanks Janice,
I'm off to find a belt - can't wait to see the 8mm films from the 50s and 60s again.
John
