Does anyone know how to use the Transync film sound system? I was on Ebay UK when I came across this item, and It looks interesting. The only info I was able to dig up an old pdf. of a amateur movie making catalog from the UK that had the following description:

The Rivendell Transync was a multi-purpose film making sound synchronizer introduced around 1973 and available until the end of the 70s. It's main functions were:
1) Camera pulse generation during shooting for recording on a separate tape recorder
2) Transfer from tape to magnetic stripe or perforated tape or full coat magnetic film in sync. It does this by controlling the speed of the projector using the camera pulse track as a reference. No projector modications were required.
It's a manual device. The user varies the speed knob to hold the film perforations or sprocket teeth stationary in the light shone by the Transync's flashing LED.
