Hi I just wondered what is best and safe for plastic gears etc please to lube up the cogs in a machine I have a couple of machines could do with a clean off and back on the nylon cogs.

Is something like carlube silicone ok, nice and cheap.

Or something like this OK ?

Any thoughts etc ?

I once bought the repair manual for Zeiss Ikon cameras and they recommend Molykote G-Rapid to put on all gears (plastic and metal). I have used it a lot on all kind of equipment and I haven't had any bad experience.
I bought it at a car supply shop.

I've always used white lithium grease on gears. I think it has been talked about several times on this forum. I also use sewing machine oil on bearings.
