Did anyone watch this last night on BBC4 freeview CH9?. This
is the follow up to the excellent 3 part series on the history of horror also by Mark, some really great insights into the people behind the films, with probably Hammer Films kicking off
the new gothic style horror genre, following on from Hollywood
and then handing over the baton to France, Germany, Spain and
Italy, some great clips of The cabinet of Dr Caligari, Susperia,
Nosferatu. What I didn't know was that the Castle used in the
1922 film with Max Schrek is still there, and pretty much as it
was when the film was made. This guy has a real affinity with horror films and the BBC are the best at making these documentaries, really great program.

No Paul but my Horror film loving missus was watching Zone Horror channel on Sat night and it featured a section showing all the pre video releases on Super 8, as well as many video nasties including "Driller Killer!" Ha ha. The VHS collections looked totally crap nowadays due to naff standard of the format plus wear to the tapes etc.

I think that documentary series is great. I recorded it off BBC Entertainment a few months ago and have watched it a few times since then.
