You could drop 10Gs in Vegas too: this is pretty much the same thing!

Information is King here.

I recently bought two films for a total of $40 that I would have backed away from at $60. If the seller had described them better I would have been willing to follow them past $100 and maybe had more of a fight too.

This collection could be worth every last penny of that $10,000 (and more)...but you just don't know!

This is one for the single guys: I can't talk keeping a budget to my wife and also talk doing something like this with the same set of vocal chords!

I wonder if the pool table comes with it?

That sure is a lot of film and only $10000 [Big Grin]

A collector here was selling of a lot of Super8 of late. I went round to have a look, but out of the huge pile I only came away with a small box of stuff...many films had faded, or been scratched. just not worth getting for any price.

Waw, the picture is appealing. For sure, you need a lot of room to own that.

I suppose a dealer might buy this and hope to profit selling off bit by bit. But it's not for me.

I would not touch this without an accurate description of the condition of each film. We all know that most of the color digests will be all pink, and the same for color features if not from Derann. And what about film shrinkage and curling and VS? He says the collection is worth $200,000.00! [Eek!] Obviously that makes a $10,000.00 sale price an irresistable bargain! [Big Grin]

The carriage cost will be astronomical, and why the final payment by wire transfer when the deposit can be accepted with PayPal?
As members say above, much more detailed description is required rather than the flowery words.

If this was Great Britain about 1985 it would be time for Mr. Simmonds to send the guys and the van around for a look.

I contacted Steve Osborne: maybe that way we can all get some of these!

It is clearly an expensive risky investment. To avoid any disappointment or misunderstanding on this ad, you have to live close to the seller, to have the cash, a car and a big house.

What's needed here is a middleman: somebody to assess, negotiate, purchase, transport, inventory, market, and resell.

Everybody wants to cut them out, but they actually do something!

I'm retired anyway, however, considering the boxes that are pictured, and the titles (common and preferred) are extensive (Not as much as I'd like), also even though many have labeled codes on both cans and boxes...you must admit, this is the largest library that has come in view - Whomever acquires it, please be generous with the rest of us peons - Cheers, Shorty

No one of sound mind is gonna touch this lot as an entire collection even if he threw 3 GS Xenons in with the films!
