Hello,

I'm a bit new to projectors but just picked up an interesting one, a "Chevy blue" Technicolor 1000bx that was part of a Chevrolet Mini Theater display.

The issue I'm having is when I insert a cartridge and press the ON button, it will play as long as the ON button is pressed. When released, it turns off.

Also, while these cartridges are designed for this projector, all the films flicker. Since there are only Volume, Focus and Frame adjustment buttons but no other way to adjust the projector's frame rate, I'm wondering how I can overcome this.

One last question, it includes a removable lens that is marked "Techno Adapter Lens" and "Technicolor" but I cannot find another example of it anywhere.

Thank you so much for any help!

Julie

Usually, as many cassette decks, there is a mechanism between play and eject button. This may be the spring problem where it has gone now on your projector.

Regarding the flicker, every projector, including yours will have shutter speed. The speed must be rightly around 18 fps or the best one is 24 fps speed. At 18 fps we can still even see the flickers, but won't hurt our eyes so it is still OK.

But if your flickers are really disturbing it means the projector plays lower than 16 fps. This can be motor problem, belt problem or anything that can reduce the speed.

Good luck!

Amazing - some people might assume this is a very early video projector!
