If we were to get 30 more people to become members of the forum between now and June 24th, we will have added a whopping 500 new members in a single callender year!

Since numbers were below 4000 when the "4 more!" Post was written around a year ago now, I have to say, I think this would be a fantastic achievement for both the forum and the hobby in general, if it became a reality.

A huge "well done" to all who have contributed to this growth of popularity and a very warm welcome to all our newest members to this fantasic forum.

But only a very small percentage of the total membership number seems to ever be on here [Confused]

Nature of the beast Tom I'm afraid, or at least so I'm told.

No harm in interested voyeurs though. We were all one once I bet.

Btw will be in touch with total price tomorrow Tom. Got boxes now, so I will price up postage tomorrow when I'm off. I'll pm you once I know more tomorrow Tom. [Smile]

5 more New members in just a few days! Simply incredible!!

Let's see if we can gather another 25 before the 24th June to make it it a very nice fat round 500 in the last year alone. [Razz]

Tom, because people don't post doesn't mean they don't read what's being written on the forum. I talked with several cine enthusiats, members or not, who read regularly this forum without contributing themselves. Reasons can be various. I've been myself less active the last weeks for health reasons. Next week, I will have to go to the hospital so I won't post for several days. That doesn't mean a lack of interest for the forum or the hobby.

Same with me regarding posting, first time here in a short while but always bobbing in nearly every day to read whats going on.

Same here; I visit each day, but don't post unless I think I can add something to the conversation. I appreciate the wealth of information here and I am grateful to those who share their expertise!

I lurked for weeks before I posted even once!

(Of course that was twelve years ago...)

It would be fun to have an 'official lurkers day', during which everyone who has posted before is excluded from posting! I wonder if there would be any posts?

It's very rare that I post, the problem is I get sidetracked by the film groups on FB, which I feel are slowly making forums such as these obsolete.

As long as there is interest and the posts keep on coming, no matter from whom, then that's all that ultimately matters. People like to read what's on here we are seeing and to me that's the number one thing. I too, like to read ALL things posted on here whether or not they are related to my particular aspect of the hobby which is exclusively just Super 8mm film and equipment.
