With the 8mm labelled section seeming to be a removable one I would think it is a commercial multi gauge machine. Never heard of it before though, but a search on the name gives this site.

I've actually run one of their scanners and recorders. I remember scanning Mad Money with Diane Keaton but it was recorded out on an Imagica. We used the Lasergraphics recorder for quite a few filmouts before we got the Imagica when I worked in the biz, unfortunately, not anymore.

No, when I started with the digital co. in 2004 they already had the recorder at least a year before. The scanner came later but we only used it as a trial.

I am just wondering how a company for a niche market like this can survive, knowing there are other methods of scanning films too (flashscan8, Retro8, Tobin, etc) as well as non scanning (fokuseye, old fashioned method, screen shooting, etc).
