Hi guys could anyone tell me if Jolson sings again ever released on 8mm ?

Hi Kevin,
I'm sure it's on super 8 as a 400ft release, Mark

Both The Jolson Story and Jolson Sings Again were released as 400' digests which crop up sometimes on Ebay. As to full length? Not sure.
Possibly an idea would be to look at Phil Murat's thread elswhere on this forum and download the Derann catalogues from years gone by, to check.
======STOP PRESS===== A 5x 600' Derann print of The Jolson Story has just been listed on Ebay UK for just over £200

Phil @ CHC also had one recently Kevin if you'd like to check him out.
Sings again...I don't believe was ever released as a full feature. The Jolson Story however most certainly was by of course, ...who else?...Derann!!

I've certainly never seen one Kevin anywhere on Super 8mm.
The downloaded catalogue btw Melvin, is only a snapshot of what negatives Derann had at their disposal at that particular time.
You need many many different catalogues from all of the different eras to be able to see exactly what was or was not available from them over the decades of course.

Love looking at the old catalogues got rid of mine when I sold my collection in the 80s wish I didn't wished I'd carried on collecting them never thought film would stop

they are still a terrific read Kevin. I threw out loads of old flyers and sales sheets etc from Derann in the 80's myself.
We could all kick ourselves now. Now I pay a fortune for any that crop up now and again! Ha ha.

Andrew - re the Derann catalogues.
Yes,I agree that each one is really only a snapshot of what they had to offer. I remember many a time visiting the Derann open days in Dudley, or even the Blackpool bash, when, during the auction, Derek would announce some obscure film title, adding "It's one of my releases from 15 years ago" so I was always aware that not everything they produced was available all of the time. Just wished I'd invested in a few more full length features when I had the chance, though!

You & me both Melvin!
Though having thought about it, it would have just meant even more of their product sold back to them at a huge loss at the time! (They didn't give anyone a fortune when people sold out of the hobby.)
Not now though of course, all would be welcomed.
