Kodak just put a mysterious post on Facebook stating "A classic is born. Again" Coming October 20th.

From my understanding this post was related to the release of a new smart phone

Wishful thinking on my part. We are, of course, in the final quarter of the year and they said 2016.

There was a tweet to a phone related twitter account that Kodak has but it was deleted. I think one or two people speculated that it might mean a new phone and now there's all kinds of posts saying that Kodak is releasing a new phone. No one would consider Kodak's previous entry into the phone market to qualify as a "classic" so I suspect that's not it.
Maybe I'm not quite old enough remember but I don't know if any of Kodak's super 8 cameras could be considered classics either. Kodachrome is definitely a classic, but whatever it is apparently has a button.
Kind of exciting.

Classic in the fact that Kodak invented Super 8. Fingers crossed. I think this is it. Let's just hope for a release of color reversal film from the "Yellow Giant".

Given the design of the camera and their proposed processing and scanning service, it seems unlikely that there will be a new reversal film but we can always hope.

I'm hoping it's the camera myself!

For color reversal the current work and progress of Film Ferrania is cause to celebrate (among the optimists at least).
