I am a new member. I got a Keystone 8mm projector model number 109D from my brother in law. He has a lot of 8mm film he wants me to transfer to DVD but when I plug the projector in the only thing that works is the small lamp to assist in film threading. Is there anything I should look for as neither the motor or lamp works. This projector looks to be fairly new. I took the bottom plate off to see if any wires were broken or unhooked but everything looked Ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to The Forum Ronald. In the last month the Keystone 109 & 109 D models have been very popular with new members. Try doing a search for the Keystone 109 and you will find several threads to help you get started troubleshooting your projector. If this projector hasn't been used for several years it will need oiling in the designated holes on the projector and the motor bearings. If you hear a humming from the motor the oil may help get it started again. However if there is no sound at all there could be an electronic issue with the cord or some other wiring. You could also have a bad switch.

Thank you for the reply Janice. I checked all the obvious so that may be what I try next, especially the switch as I hear nothing when the switch is activated.
