Hello,
I'm looking for the owners manual for the Argus dual 8 2808 edit/viewer.
Thanks!

Hi Ron,
Welcome to the 8mm Forum!
I Googled your editor and it looks almost identical to the Vernon editor I have.
There's a free download here that should be of help:
Mondofoto
Several of us have and use these.
-For general tech support, just ask!

Janis, Do you have a manual for an Argus Dualmaster 2810 Editor/Viewer? The sprocket wheel adjuster for framing is tight, and is making editing difficult. The images are also a bit dark. Hesitant to go inside and look.
Thank you,
Reid

Reid, as for the bit dark vision, the manual that Steve has posted to other user, for an editor not identical but with some similar feature (or the one that will send you Janice, if she have), has an answer for you at the point where indicate how to change the light bulb. In fact, with unscrewed screw, the bulb can be moved inwards or outwards to "aim" the light more well on film.
As for the sprocket tight, I guess it can bother editing because the image moves.
Maybe it's necessary open editor and tighten the screw that supports it, but I didn't understand if you mean the wheel that moves also the height of the frame or the knob to move from one format to another.

@Reid...I only have the Argus 2808.However...if your 2010 looks like this... then I can send you a generic manual for that design that should work. This design was sold under several brand names... but was essentially the same editor. All were made in Japan by Sansei Koki. PM me your email address and state the manual you are requesting.

Also this "long" model (made by various companies, true) has the possibility to move the bulb inward or outward as I said?
Perhaps I was too hasty to take it for granted.

Luigi...you are correct about moving the bulb in and out to increase or decrease the brightness. I have one of these larger viewers and the lamp, lens, and film feed mechanism is the same as the 2808 model...just moved to the side.
