I've been seeing for awhile some ebay sellers-mainly from Germany-offering war German newsreels. There are two companies as far as I know that copied those on Super 8, one with no logo whatsoever-was it a pirate firm?- selling those in blue plastic cases and another called Hansa Film GMBH Hamburg offering them in black cases with red or black cover. As I'm interested in this kind of films for historical studies, and also since some show scenes from the war in Greece in 1941, I'm searching for info on those but can't find any-even googled Hansa film with no tangible results. Does anyone have any info on those- a website with some catalogues, a list of their stuff, or any data on what has been released on 8mm covering WWII from the German newsreel side?
