Hello at all.
My GS 1200 has a little Problem. When I swiched ESS on without any Pulses and press the FWD Button for waiting of Pulses the Lamp flashes on for half second and the Main Motor turns half a Round. So there is one Picture gone and the Start Marking is out of Position. I can solve the Problem, when I press the Still Button on and press the Fwd Button with the Lamp Switch off. (The ESS Swich is in Position ESS) Than I press the Still Button off, turn the Light Swich on and press the FWD Button again. Now Nothing happend and I can start when the Pulses come into the GS. Than it run normaly. But this Problem is not normal. My other GS has this not. Does anyone know in which Area of the Main Board I must change electronical Parts to solve this Problem.

Excuse me for my bad german English

I do not know if this will help.

A common problem is dirt and crud builds up on electrical contact switches. Tuner cleaner and lubrication normally is used by a trained technician to get the switches working spot on.

And remember that as far as I know the early GS 1200 Version 1 (Mark 1) with the "forward bottom loop pointing to the screen" may not work with pulse sync or Pedro boxes.

I use my GS 1200 for playing premade movies I still consider myself a rookie with the GS and I have NEVER experimented with pulse sync.

Please refer to a technician for more complete information on what I have wrote here.
