My Elmo SC-18 has begun to lose the bottom loop, using the loop lever sometimes fixes it & other times in doesn't, films that usually run to the end o.k have now started to occasionally lose the loop. I'm not sure what causes it as I can't see any obvious damage to sprocket holes like you can on 9.5mm when this problem occurs.

Can anyone with this type of Elmo give me any clues as to what causes it & whether there are any claw/gate adjustments that might prevent the film slipping?
