I've seen a few Long Play Units passed along here on the forum recently, like;
Electric Giraffe, GF, Spondon and Eiki.
How many companies made them?
Which where the best?
Which do you prefere best?
Where can I find them?

It's an interresting concept.
Projectors that can take large reels arent automatically the best.
Specially since you can upgrade the lightsource more easilly to Xenpow HID150 on many projectors now and make them with large capasity reels by a Long Play Unit.

So I now like to concentrate on projectors with better sound quallity and have the film pressure so, that you only have to focus once after installing the equipment.
The rest can be upgraded.

Speaking about conversions.
Did you make a tutorial about that, here somewhere?

Until recently (2016), Julio Castells, before ending his business on bad way, manufactured (in addition to spools and cans) long play units. I don't know when Spondon and Eiki stopped manufacturing their models.
