Hey, new question ...
Were all "Castle Color' standard 8mm prints, cinecolor or other forms of low fade film stock?
I ask as I have seen , occasionally, travelogues that are part of the "Castle color" series?
I thank you for you're time.

The last Cinecolor prints were struck in 1948 and were sold in the catalogs until 1951.
The first Blue track Technicolor and Kodachrome prints appeared in 1949 and they switched to Ansco circa 1953. By the late 1950's, they were using Eastman and those prints are now beet red!

OK, now that we know when they stopped making cinecolor prints ...
Does anyone have any listing as to what other non-cartoon "Castle Color" releases there were ... and when?
By the way, it appears that they stopped doing the Ub Iwerks releases in 1948 as, I have never seen a faded print of one of those Ub Iwerks "Castle Colors".

They made them. I had a faded 16mm of the JACK AND THE BEANSTALK Iwerks release.

I have a 16mm Ub Iwerks cartoon "Little Black Sambo" in Cinecolor, it's on Kodak stock and has a blue soundtrack. Colour is still excellent.

I do too! Magnificent color, but mine is the double sprocket 16MM print, silent.
There is only one other double sproket Castle Color that, if i could find a "minty" copy, it would have to be "The Pincushion Man" (a.k.a. Balloonland) as, being that "Sambo" has such incredible color, I can only imagine what the double sprocket Castle Color 16MM would be like!
