Many thanks for these Phil. Lovely to see 1990's newsletters with all the new releases. And so nice to read the words of Derek himself.

Hi Graham,
Thanks for your nice comments.
At this time, around 60 collectors have already downloaded files ,approximately....
I assume many collectors were too young in the "Nineties" to enter S8 collecting world. Also, I think it's also a good way to save former archives.
During the "Nineties" Derann Super 8 activity was unique and very, very efficient (as Newsletters can testify)......
At this time , I have not found more Newsletters above 95, can anybody tell me if Derann issued newsletters above this date ?
I have found Newsletters archives untill 87 back yet only....

Newsletter is different with Derann's "Film for the Collector" magazine, right?
Phil, are you going also to upload those magazines?

Phil, I have a collection from 1986 to 2008.
I can't remember what happened after that. I know Derann used to print in-house and had a problem with supplies for the printing machine. Perhaps someone who remembers better can enlighten us!
Winbert, these are indeed different to the FFTC magazine. They were published every month. Happy days.

The October 2008 one I have is A5, folded from A4, and looks like a photocopy. I suspect I picked it up at the BFCC as by then I was checking second hand lists from the on-line or by an email from them.

I just double checked and in fact have newsletters right up to 2011, the year Derann closed.
I have the final newsletter dated 2nd September 2011 which was sent as an email and I printed.
Brian, it seems early 2008 that the format changed from A4 to the A5 folded version, which is why I had them in a different file.

Winbert, are you interested in a particular "Films For The Collectors" issue N° ? (I have a few of them for "Nineties" era)
Let me know,if available I'll scan it , in a few weeks.....

Thanks Phil... I only have one FFTC with Aladdin in front cover. So any FFTC except that one will be great for me.

They and many others changed from A4 to A5 due to Royal Mail changes to size rate. A5 was cheaper to post.

Also I believe that some printing plates went out of production that were used in older machines. I don't remember if that came from Derann or a Theatre Club I belong to but that could be the reason they sent to photocopies from photo-lithography. I remember that previous to the large (folded A3) newsletters they were single sheet A4 per page folded to fit a C5 envelope or A5 formatted as these latter ones ( A5 around 1984 -1986).

So well presented in a pre-internet era. How did they do it? I don't think you'll find a better presented newsletter....
