Hello! I have a Sanko Sound 500 and the base of the height adjuster has broken off. The entire peice-- base and threaded portion--were one solid plastic piece. Any recommendations on glue/adhesive to repair this? Model glue? Gorilla Glue? Not sure what kind of plastic it is, so your recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would try an epoxy glue myself. The sort you mix together and use quickly, then clamp together until the recommended time elapses.

I agree with an epoxy. Gorilla makes one and JB Weld is very good also. Do a Google search and see if anybody has done comparison testing of various brands.

Another vote for epoxy. Sucessfully repaired broken plastic part in my vcr, where usual superglue failed.

Super glue is strong but brittle. Epoxy is strong and tough: it will take a lot more abuse without developing cracks and failing.
-bigger pain in the butt to apply, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!
