Hello,
this is a very general question, for any format, not only 8mm.
I was wondering if in all the film stock (when it is still in the box, new) the emulsion faces externally or not?
Please let me know if you have some information about that.
Thank you

Standard 8 stock was always emulsion in on the reel the same for 5m lengths of still film camera 35mm.

16mm and 35mm camera films are sold with emulsion side in (face internally). If I remember right, films sold by Kodak for Aaton A-Minima camera (in dedicated spools) are wound with emulsion side out.

With the Kodak Super 8mm film cartridge the film emulsion is wound so it faces out when shooting with a camera.
