What super 8mm (no audio necessary) projector(s) are easy to modify? Things like, but not limited to:
- Adding an LED light source
- Replacing motor with a variable speed motor
Thanks!

Welcome Frank! Should I assume you want a projector to do realtime film telecine captures off the gate? If so, your question is very broad. My first thought is to find a projector that already has a variable speed control and also has a lamp voltage compatible with LEDs available.
One of our members, John Yapp has a nice demonstration of an easy off the gate telecine demo video. He is using a Eumig 800 series projector (looks like an Eumig 810D to me.) You'll be amazed at how simple it can be. I use this same approach with my frame-by-frame projector.

Here is a recent thread you might want to check out. This member wants to use a Bell and Howell projector in pretty much the same setup.

Yes, that is my intention.
Right now I have a very good condition Sankyo 2000H, which I do not want to alter.
I will look through the other threads you linked.
Thanks!
