Pleased to announce that the shooting script for CINEMA IN MINIATURE II is coming on and it will again be filmed on Super 8 once again. It will not happen overnight but do watch this space and you heard about it on the 8mm forum first!
Sadly none of my original crew are still with us such is life but loading the Leicina Special with the first roll fetched back a few memories for sure of making the original.

I can't be certain but I'd guess an advertised Super 8 release made directly from Super 8 camera negative stock would be a world first, so congratulations to Lee if it comes off!

Thank you all.
Yes Adrian. That reminded me of when I produced the first episode of Cinema in Miniature. No one locally at least had ever made such a film then had it distributed for home presentation. I was told more than once oh 40 years ago now from fellow film makers 'It'll be good if it comes off' No one believed it would except me I guess.
Taking the mute master down to the lab poor old Ian watched it silent and I can remember him saying he didn't quite understand it. Once the sound track was later made and sent he soon got the idea tho. Fantastic times and justification came when episode 1 picked up a couple of awards in film festivals.
I seem to remember young Mr Wilton projecting it at the Watermans Film Fair in the same programme as Star Wars with Dave Prowse in the audience. Memorable.
Slightly off topic but the 2K scan of my originals are now complete and I'm gradually sifting additional material for my new Blu-Ray including out takes and video. It will make for a nice disc of memories and hopefully reach a new generation of film collectors.
Have a good weekend all.

A bit of a update.
Filming is going great guns and I've been digging deep into my archived footage shot nearly 50 years ago unearthing some interesting scenes. Also discovered a fascinating bit of Derann info which will be revealed in the final movie. The whole concept is growing as I go along with this one and enjoying revisiting the subject.
More later.

Thanks Dom its very much a labour of love and sifting some of the old shots I located my film of London's Museum of the Moving Image which I filmed in 1988 the year it opened. So loved that place, such a shame it closed.
We should not forget we'll soon be approaching 100 years of 9.5mm Film either and the real start of affordable home movies and film collecting. I hope those who do shoot film are ready to capture some unique shots in our lifetime.
