Can any one let me know if this was the case ?

David,
I think it was a DCR print, not 100% sure though!

Hi Barry,
I presumed this to be the case as I have seen a past publication from DCR selling the print but I just purchased the film from Ian O'reilly and looked at the first 2 or 3 feet of reel 1 and it clearly has the B/W logo from Walton Films - the mystery deepens !!!!

David,
It most probably is an edited version if it's a Walton print, as DCR tended to bring out F/L versions, such as "Oh! Mr. Porter" which Walton brought out as an edited 4x400' whilst DCR brought it out F/L on 5x400' spools. You've got to remember that the rights to British films seemed to be a bit more fluid in the early 1970's as more than one company could hold rights to the same film title (Like Derann & Iver with "Treasure Island" & "Dark Star").

My copy of the 1970 Walton catalogue states DENTIST IN THE CHAIR was available from them in an 8 reel version (which Walton always defined as 72 minutes running time) in both Standard and Super 8 sound. Cat.# F.460. They also offered one reel extracts in both these formats titled DELINQUENT DENTIST (A.461) and NOTHING BUT THE TOOTH (A.462).

DCR also released a F/L on DIZZY DOCTORS, which I'm after- Cheers, Shorty

Thanks everyone for clearing this up - I obviously have the slightly edited release.
