The 20th CineSea Film Collectors gathering is just a month away and once again we'll be screening a film the night before the event. This will take place at 7:30 PM on Friday, October 11th at our new location, the Shalimar Resort & Conference Center in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. Admission is free.

Let's pick the film! If you're coming to CineSea and have a print you'd like to show, please list the title and format (Standard 8mm/Super 8mm/9.5mm/16mm/35mm) here by 9/27. We'll then have an online survey and attendees can pick which title they prefer. The winner will be announced on 10/7. This time we're limiting the nominations to one title per collector.

Our previous winner was Todd Tuckey's 16mm IB Tech scope print of Roustabout. The Friday Night Feature started with CineSea 11, and we've shown The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Aliens, Beetlejuice, House of Wax (3-D!) and Psycho.

My offering is the Super 8mm color/scope print of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

I look forward to the celluloid skirmish to come. Let the battle begin!

Jason, my wife was SO excited when you listed "Rear Window" last night, that she instantly stated "That gets my vote, hands down". [Razz]

Although I probably don't have much chance against the GREAT films already put up for nomination , here is my puny attempt to unseat them -
My BEAUTIFUL LOW-FADE print of GOKE , BODY SNATCHER FROM HELL , in SCOPE ,
re-recorded in English by the great Adam Deierling .

Great choices so far, as always!! Given that it's going to be close to Halloween, and keeping with the theme of October movies being more in the 'horror/suspense genre', my submission for the Friday night feature will be my gorgeous 16mm LPP print of......

The 1978 classic remake "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" starring Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Leonard Nimoy, and Jeff Goldblum

Stuart, If a relatively short film such as A Hard Day's Night (87 minutes) should win, we could have a short b-pic accompany it. We'll see.....

For me, I'll throw a 35MM print of "Men In Black" into the pile.

For Joe Griesbach, he's submitting a 35MM print of "Night of the Comet"

Either print will be "built" to minimize interruptions. [Big Grin]

I would like to elect my Nice 16mm Fuji color uncut letterbox print of An American Werewolf in London for the scary month of October. It does have subtitles on the bottom in English, but they are way on the bottom and I can mask them off if anyone cares? Fun film to watch on the big screen with an audience! One of the best werewolf films of the 80’s!

Excellent!

-maybe we should bring an immense bowl of Jell-O for the snack table!

What's nice is this is kind of a TV standard, and this gives people a chance to see it as it was meant to be seen: large screen, on film and uninterrupted. Psycho was great for basically the same reason. It's like having a familiar meal, just cooked with all the right ingredients.
