Hi folks.
I am looking for the super 8 feature film Titanic made in 1997 and which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and our Kate Winslet. If you have a print to offer please advise before end April 07.
Many thanks.

Contact Phil at Classic Home Cinema, he should still have some new prints in stock.

Lee,
You might have a wait, I know of only 2 people who bought a print, and both of them have sold theirs on, perhaps Phil has sold a couple more, but the price of this title new really puts collectors off, it's the running time that's the killer, still you never know!

I know their was at least 10 prints as I recorded the sound on all of them but the price then (2000) was well over £500 per print and that was silent, the cost to record the sound was extra.
The print quality was stunning and the recording was excellent too as the stripe was laminate and you can get excellent recordings on laminate stripe.

A friend of mine has got such a print - but I doubt that he'll sell it since he paid 1500DM (750EUR) for it and since he simply loves that film. (<- I can't understand that since the film is just too long and filled with unnecessary kissing scenes until the ship finally sinks... hence it's one of the worst disaster-films I've ever seen.)

A highly desireable release, but as Barry said it's the high price due to the running length that stops it from selling. I asked for just one reel (the sinking) but was turned down. I wonder what the price is from CHC and if it could be discounted if there was more than one order?

It’s my wife’s favourite film and she is rather poorly at present in hospital. I wanted to give her a nice present for doing well in hospital having now had two operations in 24 hours. I also like the film myself and we do share interest in the hobby. If anyone does hear of anything I would appreciate the nod.
Best wishes to all.
Lee.

A couple of months ago on ebay a seller called the CSM was selling a copy. I do not think it sold so may be worth contacting him direct. He has films on ebay at the moment, he is the one selling 2001 A Space Odyssey.

Winbert,
I do believe that was Colin Preston, and I do believe he has sold it now, as he sent me an updated list and it was not listed.

Sorry Winbert that's not my EBay account.
I do have a print of TITANIC but will be holding onto it for now.
Good luck with your search Lee,

Lee,
All the best to you and your wife. I hope that she pulls thru excellently.
Titanic was never a real favorite for me.

Thanks Osi, and one and all for the good wishes. She is having a rough time of it at present and our film collecting friends have been most kind. Bless you all.
