I just listed my "MINT" Super Eight LPP "low fade" print of "The Time Machine" (1960) on e-bay with a very fair reserve. This is a beautiful Super Eight feature print with stunning color. You won't find this title on LPP in 16mm. It's difficult for me to sell this title but I am going completely into 16mm. Anyone else on here have this title on LPP? Not the abridgement. This print was struck in 1984 by Red Fox Films. I know I am going to regret selling this title. It just glow's!

It was a very difficult decision to make since I really like this movie. I think it's best to completely move into the 16mm format. I was going to watch "The Time Machine" before shipment but it's too upsetting. Too painful. I agree that it is a "great" print and classic title and the buyer got it for half off what Derann want's now. I am doing what my friend Steve Sigel did. He made the decision to pull out of Super Eight and he followed through. That's why I am doing this with a certain feeling of reluctance knowing I will miss these print's badly! I just feel it is the right thing for me to do.

P.S. I want to publicly say "Thank You" to forum member Dan Lail for buying so many of my Super Eight features. Especially the Viacom features that Dan bought the majority of. Dan it was great dealing with such an honest and kind person. My best to Jerrye too!!! I hope she is doing well now.

I just hope that you don't end up regretting a few years from now. Back in the very early 1990's I sold my collection of Super 8 to move into laserdisc and while I still have most of that laserdisc collection, I REALLY regretted selling off my collection of Super 8mm.

I still have never found a few of the optical sound features that I had back then (High Road to China, Land that Time Forgot, ect.), and that ELMO ...

Yeah folks, I actually had an ELMO back then, and I had completely forgotten, (until I found the old manual for it awhile back), that I had owned the combination optical/mag ELMO!

Wish I had that back as well!

I got out of Super Eight in 1981 when the RCA CED capacitance electronic disc system came out. I sold off my entire Super Eight collection at that time. I missed it so much I went back into it again in 1989. I bought a Eumig optical and magnetic projector and optical features from Ray Courts. Next thing I know I am buying back ALL the Blackhawk features in Super Eight. I ended up having many more films the second time. This won't happen again though. I know that the time has come to pull out of the Super Eight format. I like 16mm so much better! But I thank you for your kind word's of advice.

P.S. Those Elmo optical/magnetic unit's were work horses. I never could get the optical sound to work well on my airline prints using the Eumig O&M unit. Maybe the optical sound worked better on the Elmo units.
