I have two films up for sale folks ... here we go!

Charly : (Montgomery Clift, 1968). This is a rare combination of sci-fi and romance. Charly is a mentally challenged person who gets the opportunity to have an operation that will reverse his mental condition. The operation is successful, but He also finds out the sad truth about his new condition. Excellent film. 5X400ft. This print has VERY good color, which was surprising, considering it is an ABC films print. Hadn't ever seen this good, except for twenty years ago, (when I used to collect), and a hard title to find now.

60.00

No no Dan, not Chuckie ... Charly. Very serious movie. The twist in the last fifteen minutes really caught me off guard.

Also the great color on this. Usually, ABC films have light fade to heavy fade. This one is pristine. I wonder if this was printed on a decent non fade color stock? I'll have to have a look see.

The second one is an optical sound feature entitled "Lucky Pierre", which is an action comedy from France, (gee, no kidding, Pierre ... France).

But I can't list this yet. The person who I', selling these for failed to send reel one. The other four reels are here and it has slight fade but not bad at all, for the age of the film. (Like how that nice print of "Internicine Project" was from you Dan). I'm hoping that he hadn't lost that first reel. Lets face it, in that case, I really can't sell it.

Osi, sorry to be pedantic, but do you mean "Charly" starring Cliff Robertson and Claire Bloom?

If it does star Montgomery Clift, it will be a neat film, as Monty died in 1966.

Sorry to "pick you up" on film facts bro. [Wink]

PS Is the second film "I Was Monty's Double"? [Smile]

Osi, if they did the twist for the last fifteen minutes it couldn't be that serious. [Big Grin]

Osi, all serious aside, what is the second film?

I have seen Charly and it is a very touching film.

Dan, my happy little camper,

the second film was "Little Pierre", a French Comedy from the early 1970's. It's an optical sound print, but since the guy I'm selling them for failed to send reel one, I can't offer it.

Camper Dan, that has a ring to it.

By the way, Dan, "The Fog" went out today! Dis morning.

Little Pierre, a French comedy? This sounds like something I would be interested in.

Camper Dan is appropriate since I am a camper, but Dan is a name that many adjectives seem to like. Old Dan, Dirty Dan, Dapper Dan, etc. [Big Grin]

Nono! That's "Lucky Pierre". Its immaterial until I get that first reel from the fella, and that's if I do.

Diaper Dan, (many sooner than you think, eh?)

Where do you dump your un-usable film equipment?

In a "Dan-fill"!

(hah!)

Osi, Lucky Pierre sounds even better!

Jean-Marc, Hoover Dan and Diaper Dan are synonymous. [Big Grin] I was born as Dana(Dana Andrews), then became Danny and now am Dan among other names. How about Dan the lion or row Dan. [Roll Eyes]

Osi, do you mean Pierre is insignificant and will suffer a social complex until the other reel arrives. Wow! This is getting my Dan-der up(Are we allowed to say that?).

Dan-rough? I guess I have been a little flaky at times. Poor Charly, sold from home to home. Maybe Pierre will be luckier.

Mark ...

It is classified as a sci-fi film. To this day, this kind of operation is not possible. A man, once retarded, now made into
a genius? Definite sci-fi, (you COULD call it fantasy), and definitely a romance as well.

... and a great film!

I thought it was raining before but we seem to be caught in a Danpour!

Now I think were all struck with Dan Syndrome!

(disclaimor: no disrespect to those with that syndrome)
