Looking for

'DOTS'

and

'PEN POINT PERCUSSION'

Ideally on super 8 but other formats will do.

Also, does anyone know of any other McLaren shorts released on super 8? I'd be interested in these as well.

Cheers.

Hello Den

Other Norman McLaren films on Super 8 were:

A Chairy Tale (1957)

Neighbours (1952)

Two Bagatelles (1952) & Le Merle (1958) (both on one reel)

I'm sure there are some more and others also from The National Film Board Of Canada - I'll have to dig out some of my catalogues and film mags to check.

Most of these were printed by Barry Wiles Films - in 1988 I bought all Barry's remaining new and used film stocks, which included the Norman McLaren NFBC titles, and I then traded the duplicate titles to buy other films I was after - most of the new films went to Ian at Perry's Movies so he may also be able to recall some of the others.

I think I may have these (seven altogether) on Super8. Shall I have a proper look?

I have 'Hot Stuff' on Super 8 (Mmm, a mouse flambeau) and 'Cosmic Zoom' on 16mm. Both are ace.

Says it is blocked, so here's wot I'd said:--

I seem to have 7 on an 800' reel:- Syrinx (B/W); Penpoint Percussion (B/W); Dots; Two Bagatelles; Le Merle; Walking; Neighbours (probably the most famous!). I watched 'em about 7-8 mths ago - all seemed good, but I'll watch 'em again if you express interest! My notes says I got 'em from Ian and paid £14 each (I suspect that means he wanted £20!) and would expect to not get too much less IF I sell 'em!
Let me know at 'reels4de' (at) 'ntlworld' (dot)'com'
Cheers, David E
