Hi all
I not long ago picked up a copy of Eric Sykes The Plank (I think the 1967 version)(ProdN19236),it came on 3 400 foot reels, each packed to about 300ft.
I have two questions.
1/Who released this on super 8 and can anyone tell me the film stock, color is perfect and the image very sharp,i cant read the small print near the perf holes and all the leaders tell me is YCM and the number above.
2/Now sadly, when i went to watch it,part 1 was not the correct reel,it was the end of an unkown film to me and as red as beetroot,so was only able to watch this very funny Brit film about 10 minutes in from the start(meaning reel 2 and 3)So does anyone out here have reel 1 floating round or would anyone know where i might be able to find it.
Thanks.

Barrie,
Derann released this in the mid to late 1970's, I've come accross it quite a few times, but alas I've never seen any odd reels floating about, but you never know.

I'm sorry that I can't help with a print, however, for information the detail you quote is the Technicolor production number.
YCM is Yellow, Cyan, and Magenta. The three letters should print out in the correct colours by the Technicolor lab printer.
Of course, this information has been carried through from the 35mm master and does not bear any relation to the Super 8 print.
If you have not got a magnifier try using a projector lens (take it out first!) and hold the film up to a bright light source.
