What is the purpose? I'm sure many people have faded features they'd let go cheap... Plus you didn't specify whether you wanted Super 8, Standard 8 or ???...

Austin -- Most collectors here value their films if they are considered "cheap" they usually go into the trash can because they are unwatchable/resalable. Most films that are offered here are short subjects from 2 minute films on 50' reels, 200' shorts that run around 8 min., and 400' digests that run around 15 min. Depending on the title/scarcity you can find most films for a "reasonable" price however, features are a different ball-park all together.

First, you need to make sure your projector handles the capacity of the feature on the reels if they are not under 400'. A good portion of sound features are on 600' reels or higher, they can be spliced together (or broken up into smaller reels) obviously. Second, depending on the title, you will not really find a "cheap" feature for sale, but there are many affordable and reasonably priced features available here. Look around they everywhere, and again welcome to the club...

Dino -- Do you have a few classic standard and super 8mm titles here for sale?

Austin -- I would recommend saving up an extra $15 or $20 for any of his titles he has to offer. And while you wait, I would strongly recommend that you do a lot of research. After all this is your new passion, why not look up everything you can about your equipment, how it works, and then research some more!

Hitting the search tab on Forum and using keywords in the search box is also highly recommend for the beginner.

Practically you can get full feature for that budget. Dan has just sold a full feature of "Hoppity Goes to Town" for $20. This is a cartoon.

You can also get some B/W full feature for $15-30, depend on what title you are buying and where.

But another problem because you have regular 8 (standard 8) projector will limit your search, because super 8mm is more popular than regular 8. So there more super 8mm full features are around for sale.

From another post Gerard wrote:

If it is a standard 8mm projector equipped for sound, you are lucky...those are hard to come by!
@ Gerard, regular 8mm sound projector is not really rare. You can get that from extensive range of Eumig projectors.

cheers,

Winbert -- The projector in question here is a Keystone, and he has no idea what model it is. The only Keystone model I know with sound is the SU 200 and that is only S8. I also don't think R8 projectors with sound are rare...just hard to come by. [Wink]
