I'm sure a few of us saw the Star Wars feature (in super 8) that sold for $1,825.00 last week online. Wow.

I followed that from the beginning. It's amazing what a collector with a lot of money will pay for a film. I though when I paid 350.00 for Goldfinger that was stretching it. That has to be some kind of record for a S8 film.

That made my Titanic feature seem like a bargain! Sort of...

I was really shocked by that as well, but that really is a rarity for a super 8 print. The only other time that I've seen something like that happen was on a silent kodachrome color film of Marylin Monroe behind the scenes on the film "Niagra". It was shot, (from what I remember) by one of the crew and Marylin
and Joseph Cotten were rehearsing a scene together. It was shot from overhead, but it was clearly miss Monroe.

It went for hundreds of dollars, or maybe over a thousand, I really don't remember the price, but I was certainly shocked.

I really don't see any other super 8 film having the kind of price shocker that STAR WARS sold for, as that film appeals to not just film collectors, but even people who may not even own a projector, they may just want to print for just having it on film!
