Just beginning and want to buy standard 8mm films. Don't want to invest large amount of money, but want to get some low cost films to test drive my projector. Any suggestions?

Hi Liz, and welcome to the forum and to collecting. Standard 8 silent prints are the least expensive overall because of low demand and high supply. I recommend your local flea market, thrift shop (but only if the prices are thrifty), or best of all, eBay. Click here for 8mm listings, but be aware that many of these are Super 8 or placed incorrectly altogether. However, after you look carefully past those, there are many, many films to choose from.
