Hello...I have the 3 X 400' version of the 1960 film THE TIME MACHINE. Reels 1 and 3 have very good color but reel 2 is badly faded. I am looking for reel 2 with good color, not the whole digest. If anyone can help please let me know.

Bill, this digest come up fairly often in German. You can check and buy then re-dub with your current reel to English.

Just my 2 cents suggestion.

BTW, I have once seen this digest on Ebay printed on LPP. Are your reel 1 and 3 also on LPP or just good Kodak SP?

cheers,

I am not really sure how to check the film to identify a certain film stock. What should I look for?

Of course you need a magnifier glass, and see between the sprockets if you can read KODAK LPP mark.

But your eyes will serve better. If you see that there is no sign of discoloration (no warming, no turning) on your prints where blue does look blue, red is red, green is green just like you go to today's cinema, then it is LPP or AGFA.
