Some nice optical sound titles there. I can't afford them, but they are no doubt, bound to sell! Nice films there, Steve!

I'm fortunate enough to have 'Curse of the Cat People' on 16mm but I'd certainly recommend that any 'Cat People' enthusiast snaps up the print of this extraordinary film while they have the chance. It's an unusual release as it appeared in the fairly barren period before the 1980s revival got going. I know the negative marks on one reel - that Steve refers to - are on all prints, so there's no point holding out for a copy that doesn't have them.

I just bought a film from Steve and I'm thrilled. Arrived exactly when he said and the perfect condition he said it was in.
On that note, I'm surprised that most or all are not sold yet. Here is a finished auction and I'm surprised it went that high as Derann had in their catalog, 'not up to our usual standard.':

I guess with Derann gone the prices of their features are going to skyrocket. Good news for those selling - bad for the buyers. As for Revenge of Frankenstein. Even though Derann stated "it wasn't up to their standards" it's a gorgeous print. The film had such beautiful Technicolor that it translated well to super 8. I have two and they are both equally striking. The negative had some marks and splices but I would barely have noticed if it wasn't for Derann's warning.

Steven reading the other post about "Singin in the Rain" which now is reaching $530 (not end yet), your print is cheap than the one in Canada, if we include the shipping cost, due to excessive Canada Post shipping charge. From US you can send it to anywhere for merely $25 while I am in Canada has to spend much more.
I also have a believe if you list "2010" in Ebay with nice photo and screen shot (like the one listing is on now), you can sell it for more than $350!.
Or send to Alan Rik for the listing as he is the winner of "entrepreneurship award?....
Posted by Hugh Thompson Scott (Member # 2922) on July 23, 2012, 04:33 AM:
You're right there Brian,it is a nice print from German origins, the advice on the little marks at beginning and end of reels actually came from Keith Wilton who reviewed it in FFTC,no doubt driving
Derek mad.

Hey Steve, when you update your list the next time, could you remove the ones that are already "sold", as that would eliminate at least a little confusion.
I can only speak for myself, but I have little time, so when I peruse a list and, in order to go through the list I see a good title, say "Yay" for a brief moment, and then see "sold", I then ask myself, "well, why did I bloody well read that in the first place? Why have it on there if the thing is sold."
Not a mean spirited comment mind, you , just advice.

Hi Osi,
I think that's against the policy for the forum -- I know it is over at the 16mm forum - sellers are required to leave all sold items on the list with (SOLD) next to them so that people can use that information to help set prices and whatnot.
Anyone know what the policy is here?
Meanwhile - here's the list with sold items removed:

I don't know what the policy is but indeed I would prefer to see the items already sold still there and the reason is exactly what Steven suggested...
Of course, it is only my hopinion...

No policy about continuing to list films that have been sold along with remaining films has ever been established. I have no problems with keeping sold titles on the list.

What a superb collection you had
Are you now leaving the film world?
If onnly i could win the lotto
Posted by Steven Sigel (Member # 21) on September 14, 2012, 01:23 PM:
@Tom -
I haven't been a super 8 collector since 2003. I bought a large collection of films recently (mostly 16mm) and these super 8 films were part of it. There are still about 20-30 more that I have to go through and add to the list... I still collect 16mm myself.

Ahh i ssee, i shall keep an eye out, good luck
Posted by Joe Balitzki (Member # 438) on September 14, 2012, 07:08 PM:
While I cannot go into any details, its not surprising that the collection has such excellent titles knowing the source.
And Steve is a long time seller who provides excellent customer service.
And no, I am not getting a free film for the plug...
However, feel free to send me one if you wish Steve!

Can I ask why Robin Hood went from 299 to 399?
If you are in a hurry, I can't buy right now, but I'd be interested in the Aliens print. Just need to sell my video games stuff first
If you can hold it, I'll take it but understand if you need it gone quickly ... Assume it's in perfect condition?
Posted by Steven Sigel (Member # 21) on January 15, 2013, 10:44 AM:
Hi Vidar -
The correct list with the right prices is the one at the top of the thread - so the correct price for Robin Hood is $299 -- I lowered it from $399... I have just deleted that later list - it was accurate in September, but is out of date now.

Ah, just assumed last post is the newest. If I get my games sold, there's a few I'd like, but have no idea how long it takes. It's 50000 to 70000 dollars worth of games, but not many have that sort of money
:-) Hopes for a rich guy who wants a huuuuge collection
