I'm looking for the 8mm film Fantasia.
Does someone has this for sale?

You missed one only a few weeks backs on e bay UK Edwin sadly.

They tend to be very blue though on this particular print, not one the best by any means for colour.

My copy is slightly blue when you are watching the live action sequences but for the animated sequences its still pretty beautiful to see IMHO. [Smile]

Is this "Fantasia" or "Fantasia 2000"?

2000 Steve, that is the Derann release.

I was wondering:

"2000" is the one with the "blue" reputation.

I have most of the Fantasia (1940) Derann extracts and their color is fine.

-one of these (and a glass of wine) is definitely a mood improver!

Edwin ...

If you want the ultimate "Fantasia" rarity, search out the Italian "bootleg" (I'm assuming) super 8 print 4X600ft version, which is the RKO edited version.

Why?

It actually has the footage edited out of every version that exists out there, super 8, 16MM video, VHS, Blu-ray, you name it. I'm speaking of the black "servant" centarettes serving the white centaurettes.

Disney does it's best to ignore the existence of this footage, but it does exist. I have a print of this, which sadly, has a little film fade but still watchable.

... but it DOES exist, and on super 8! HURRAH!!!!

But the colour, print quality and no doubt it's condition will be awful.
Only the Derann Disney prints and some of the later WDHM prints will stand the test of time.

I had an Italian Bootleg print for one day of Sleeping Beauty. It was appalling and I couldn't wait to give it back, it really was THAT bad.

It would have not graced my cupboards even if it was a free gift.

I bought the Fantasia 2000 print from ebay and have to say it is the one of the cleanest colourful prints I have purchased, I also have some scenes from fantasia, missing the right of spring section.
